i now present you with the photos of the hike rofl and i went on. i didn't get to jump due to the fact that i am forgetful and left my ear plugs in the car (yes, i'm that cool kid that needs ear plugs).

hermit falls from fontana (aka fontucky, rofl's home): take the 210E and exit on santa anita and go north. go up the mountain (it says 5 miles but it feel much further) till you reach a dead end at chantry flats. you can park for free in the dirt before the parking lot or park for 5 bucks in the actual parking lot.
getting to the falls: take the trail on the right (if you are facing up the mountain). that part of the trail is paved. you get to a tiny fork where you can stay on the paved trail or go on a dirt one. dirt it is. when you get to another fork (by the dam and tiny cabins) you will go to the right. hop across another dam and keep falling the trail all the way down to the little falls. there are 2 places to jump, one is incredibly high, the other isn't so bad.
we went on wednesday so there were hardly any people there. the hike down was awesome. there were these little cabins that looked like they could have been the seven dwarves summer homes. the doors were tiny! tooooo tiny. i hung out in the small pool at the top (cool kid alert again). next time, ear plugs.
